Jakarta-Indonesian F1 racer of Manor Racing team Rio Haryanto glad to finally see his first chequered flag at the 2016 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, in Bahrain International Circuit on Sunday night local time, April 3.
“It was great to see the chequered flag today. It feels good to have a race distance under my belt, which is vital experience for me and the team as it gives us more data to analyse and develop the car further,” said Rio as cited from Media Relation Cep Goldia email release on Monday, April 4.
He is optimistic to go on the next race in China on April 17. "Shanghai is a track I know well so I’m looking forward to making another step forward there,” said Rio.
Rio Haryanto finished the Bahrain Formula 1 race at 17th place while his Germany team mate Pascal Wehrlein finished at 13th place.
